In the first quarter, the whole sector continued to strictly maintain the regulation of performing online duty 24/7, thereby directing and handling 841 professional messages (including 578 new professional messages), 157 messages about detecting violations and sanctioning administrative violations VND 1.94 billion, collecting VND 2.1 billion.
Typically, about 125 kg of ivory declared as cow horn was discovered in a shipment of HMD Technology Joint Stock Company (Hanoi) imported to the Hai Phong port area (February 6, 2023). The case has been transferred to Hai Phong City’s Police Investigation Agency to prosecute the case.
Regarding online duty, the whole sector continues to implement Resolution No. 10-NQ/DU dated March 9, 2023, of the Party Committee of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on synchronous and drastic implementation of solutions to facilitate trade, improve the effectiveness of state management, prevent revenue loss in revenue collection task in 2023, strictly maintain the regulation of performing online duty 24/7, strengthen online inspection and supervision of task performance of all levels.
