Customs sector sets plan to fulfill seven key missions

VCN – To effectively implement Resolution No.01/NQ-CP of the Government dated January 8, 2022 about the mission and key solutions to fulfill the socio-economic plan and State estimates for 2022, Decision No.38/QĐ-BTC dated January 11, 2022 about promulgating the Action Plan of the Ministry of Finance on Decision 01/NQ-CP and Legal Documents Formulation Programme in 2022 of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) has promulgated Decision 138/QĐ-TCHQ about the action plan. In the decision, GDVC has set a plan to fulfill seven key missions.

According to this Decision, the group of missions for the Ministry of Finance includes focusing on effectively implementing the mission on both Covid-19 prevention and socio-economic recovery; building and completing institutions and law enforcement; strengthening the task of Party building, enhancing the effectiveness of State management, strictly discipline and promoting anti-corruption and waste prevention.

Regarding the scheme, the GDVC has one scheme (developing the Decree on connecting and sharing information in the field of import and export, transit, vehicles, and people on exit and entry under the National Single Window mechanism) and three circulars.

The Decision also stipulates that, for tasks chaired by the Ministry of Finance, the unit assigned to chair and closely coordinate with relevant units under the General Department, advising the General Department’s leaders to coordinate with relevant units under the Ministry of Finance and relevant ministries and sectors to organize the implementation and periodically report on the assessment of the implementation situation.

For tasks by other ministries and sectors, the Ministry of Finance will coordinate with the assigned units to work closely with relevant units in order to summarize and submit to the General Department for reporting to the Ministry of Finance to consult with the ministries and branches when required. At the same time, the customs unit should actively monitor, study and report to the General Department to submit to the Ministry the contents related to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

For projects submitted to the Government, the Prime Minister and circulars under the competence of the Ministry of Finance, the GDVC will chair to draft and submit to competent authorities for promulgation. The units are responsible for reporting to the Government and the Prime Minister about the results and progress of the projects and sending them to the Legal Department and the Office of the Ministry of Finance to serve the regular Government meetings and synthesize them into the periodic briefing reports of the Ministry of Finance.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs also requested the units under the GDVC to follow the contents of Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP of the Government, Decision No. 38/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance and Decision No. 138/ QD-TCHQ to deploy tasks as assigned, concretize tasks into solutions, schemes, tasks, outputs and take responsibility for implementation results, and the progress of completing assigned tasks.
