Great contribution to state revenue

On April 17, at the headquarters of Hai Phong Customs Department, a conference took place to deploy the Emulation and Reward Plan and sign an emulation agreement between five customs departments under Emulation Cluster No. 3 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Speaking at the Conference, Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that, in 2023, sticking to the theme “Solidarity – Discipline – Creativity – Continue to innovate, comprehensively modernize, build modern Vietnam Customs”, the units in Emulation Cluster No. 3 have strived to complete their assigned tasks with 100% of the Cluster’s members being recognized with the “Excellent task completion” rating.

Notably, the 5 units of the Cluster achieved budget revenue of VND130,435 trillion, accounting for 34% of the entire Customs sector’s revenue in 2023.

The year 2024 is determined to have a particularly important meaning, being a pivotal year for implementing the Customs Development Strategy until 2030, creating a premise for implementing emulation movements to create achievements towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Customs and the 7th Congress of typical delegates of the Customs sector.

Based on promoting the achieved results, in 2024, Emulation Cluster No. 3 will continue to innovate, focusing all resources on implementing reform, modernization and digital transformation of the Industry. and each unit; strengthen the prevention and combat of corruption and negativity, ensure discipline and public service discipline; implement synchronously and comprehensively solutions to complete assigned political tasks, especially revenue collection tasks.

Achieving the above goal requires Party committees and authorities of each unit to strengthen leadership and direct affiliated units to actively research and deploy breakthrough solutions inappropriate with actual conditions to strongly and effectively implement emulation movements, contributing to the excellent completion of all assigned political tasks…

Emulation towards 80 years of establishment of Customs sector

At the Conference, on behalf of the unit leaders, Deputy Director of Hai Phong Customs Department Nguyen Kien Giang launched the cluster’s emulation contents.

Accordingly, Emulation Cluster No. 3 launched an emulation movement with the theme: “Solidarity – Discipline – Creativity, determination to promote digital transformation in the Customs sector”, aiming to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Customs with the theme “Joining efforts, unanimously emulating and making achievements towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Customs and the 7th Congress of typical delegates of the Customs sector” with tasks, solutions and targets as follows:

Civil servants and employees of units raise awareness and promote a sense of responsibility, initiative, and creativity to implement goals and tasks as set.

Drastically, synchronously and effectively reform administrative procedure regulations in the field of customs, and internal administrative procedures between state administrative agencies and optimize the process of handling administrative procedures based on strong IT application.

Research and develop professional processes and legal basis to serve the deployment of digital border gate and smart border gate connection platforms; the IT system meets digital transformation’ requirements and implementation of digital customs towards smart customs.

Strengthen prevention and combat of smuggling, trade fraud, illegal transportation of goods across borders and violations of laws on intellectual property, production and consumption of counterfeit goods; strengthen inspection, control, fight against trade fraud, and manage customs valuation.

Research and propose plans to build a customs apparatus with a streamlined and reasonable structure, reduce intermediaries, and be ready to deploy centralized customs and regional customs models…
