According to report of Can Tho Customs Department, as of March 15, the department processed 26,000 declarations of imports and exports, up about 12%. The import and export turnover rose 17% year-on-year to US$ 1.1 billion.

The export turnover reached US$704 million, mainly from the turnover of items rice, rice bran, acid oil from rice bran, wood chips, steel, fish oil and grease, catfish powder, leather shoes, garments, clothes, handbags, veterinary medicine, cigarettes, agricultural products, processed seafood, frozen fruit juice, automobile electrical wiring systems…

The import turnover reached over US$400 million, including the turnover from items such as asphalt, gypsum, wood, steel scrap, pharmaceutical raw materials, coal, automobile electrical system, assembled furniture, scrap paper, raw materials for the production of textiles and garments, leather shoes, raw materials for seafood production, raw materials for the production of soft drinks, chemicals… In addition, there are also the revenue from transit goods such as gasoline, imported goods transferred from border gates: additives, scrap paper, cigarettes.

Can Tho City Customs Department processed procedures for 68 ships on exit and entry with a total of 1,057 crew members; 128 aircraft on exit and entry with18,175 passengers and crew members.

As of March 14, Can Tho Customs Department collected VND 554.82 billion, an increase of 85% over the same period in 2023, reaching over 25% of the target.
