According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) – the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee on National Single Window (NSW), ASEAN Single Window (ASW) and Trade facilitation, the Customs industry has cooperated with ministries and sectors to implement the National Single Window and ASEAN Single Window and trade facilitation.

The regulators continue to complete the overall project on building and developing the IT system to serve the implementation of the NSW and ASW mechanisms towards deploying the Action Plan to implement the National Single Window Mechanism and promote industry logistics and trade facilitation for 2022-2026.

As of February 15, 250 administrative procedures of 13 ministries and sectors were connected NSW with the participation of more than 69,500 businesses (an increase of about 2,500 businesses compared to the end of 2023).

Expand ASW and maintain the official connection to the ASEAN Single Window to exchange e-C/O form D with nine ASEAN member states.

Coordinate with the ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN member states to officially exchange ASEAN Customs declaration document.

Meet relevant requirements to connect and test the exchange of plant quarantine certificates.

Discuss to build solutions and roadmaps to connect and exchange electronic documents between ASEAN and partners such as Japan, China, and South Korea.

Regarding implementing connections with non-ASEAN partners, complete the pilot exchange of export customs declarations with the Eurasian Economic Union phase 1, and continue to coordinate to implement phase 2.

Cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the New Zealand Embassy to Vietnam to deploy a pilot exchange of electronic quarantine certificates with New Zealand.
