Creating a strong change in digital transformation in the Customs industry

VCN – General Director of Customs Nguyen Van Can has just signed Decision 1105/QD-TCHQ promulgating the Digital Transformation Plan of the General Department of Customs in 2023.

Talking to reporters, Director of the Customs Informatics and Statistics Department (General Department of Customs) Le Duc Thanh said that the important goals set out in this plan are to continue promoting digital transformation in customs operations through the development of an IT system to implement Digital Customs according to Decision No. 2212/QD-BTC dated 04/11/2022 of the Minister of Finance. In which, in 2023, focus on building an IT system to implement Digital Customs to meet professional requirements in customs clearance, proposing to approve the policy of project No. 2 under the IT System to implement Digital Customs.

Formulate and submit to competent authorities for approval of legal documents, projects and deploy technical solutions to create a foundation for digital transformation in the implementation of the National Single Window and the ASEAN Single Window.

Build and deploy initial platforms to meet transformational requirements in intra-industry governance. In which, focus on completing the review and standardization of professional processes as a basis for implementing technical and technological solutions in internal management.

Fully perform the digital transformation tasks assigned in Decision No. 1484/QD-BTC dated 27/07/2022 of the Ministry of Finance on approving the digital transformation plan of the Ministry of Finance to 2025, oriented towards 2030.

Fully perform the digital transformation tasks stated in Decision No. 776/QD-BTC dated 12/04/2023 of the Ministry of Finance on issuing the Digital Transformation Plan of the Ministry of Finance in 2023 related to the General Department of Customs.

In particular, it is necessary to create a strong change in the awareness and actions of all customs officers and employees on digital transformation and the application of technology of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in state management of customs.

In the Plan, the General Department of Customs also proposed 10 groups of tasks and six groups of solutions to achieve digital transformation goals.
