VCN – Attending the Customs – Business Forum and Honoring “Enterprises paying large taxes, performing well customs law compliance”, Deputy Finance Minister Nguyen Duc Chi, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, presented flowers to congratulate the civil servants, officers and employees of the Customs sector on the 77th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Customs and congratulating the success of the Forum.

Customs-Business Forum with the topic: “Vietnam Customs facilitates the development of trade and logistics” and honored “Enterprises paying large taxes, performing well customs law compliance ” held by Customs News was an event to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Customs (September 10, 1945 – September 10, 2022).

Vietnam customs is one of the earliest established sectors right after the country’s establishment. On September 10, 1945, just eight days after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam), Minister of Home Affairs Vo Nguyen Giap, on behalf of the Provisional Government signed Decree No. 27/SL establishing the Department of Tariffs and Indirect Taxes – marking the birth of Vietnam Customs.

Promoting the tradition of 77 years of development and growth, Vietnam Customs has grown and matured in all aspects. Facing the requirements of integration and development goals of the country in the new situation, Vietnam Customs has made efforts and is determined to build a regular, modern force equal to the Customs of developed countries in the world.

With the consent of the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, on September 8, 2022, the Customs News organized a Customs-Business Forum with the topic: ” Vietnam Customs facilitates the development of trade and logistics”, aiming to promote the development of import-export and logistics activities, contributing to the sustainable development of the country, with the goal of a strong Vietnam in 2045 under the Resolution of the National Congress of the 13th Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Forum is also an opportunity for the leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs to deliver a message on reform, renovation and modernization of the State management of Customs in the next period so that the business community in the country and oversea that are operating investment business in Vietnam as well as relevant agencies to grasp and believe in the reform and modernization process of Vietnam Custom in facilitating and accompanying enterprises to overcome difficulties when implementing the plan for economic recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic.
