According to 1st Zone Sai Gon Seaport Customs Branch, V.D.P Co., Ltd. registered to import five shipments at the branch.

The goods are declared as “Joint Flex Plus Glucosamine & Chondroitin Plus Collagen Type II supplemental foods”; HS code 2106.90.91; preferential import tax rate of 15%, VAT rate of 10%.

Through post-clearance audit, the customs discovered that the company falsely declared the HS code of the goods.

The company implemented additional declarations for these shipments and proposed to revise the HS code as 22029950, the preferential import tax rate of 30%, the VAT rate of 10%.

The value of declared goods was over VND2.7 billion. With the additional declaration, the company must pay a further VND450 million.

Thus, V.D.P Co., Ltd. imported goods and falsely declared the HS code of goods, leading to the lack of tax payable.

Recently, 1st Zone Sai Gon Seaport Customs Branch fined the company over VND90 million.
