VCN – The Customs Enforcement Team under An Giang Customs Department has seized a truck transporting smuggled goods worth over VND1.1 billion.

According to the local customs department, on the November 27, the working team coordinated with Phu Huu Border Guard Station to inspect the truck.

As a result, the working group discovered 313 solar panels, 200 MDF sheets, 1,450 fan parts, 12 rice mill machines, one electric box and 80 boxes of confectionery.

Through an inspection, the working team detected that the goods were transported from China and Thailand without origin. However, the driver Nguyen Thanh Nam, 28, did not present a legal invoice to prove the goods origin. The goods value is estimated at VND1.1 billion.

Currently, the working team has transferred the case to An Phu District police for handling.
