According to the Hanoi Customs Department, currently, there is a case where the goods exceeded the time limit for depositing into the bonded warehouse of Noi Bai Catering Services. The company’s goods have been stored for 24 months including the extension of the storage period.

Regarding this issue, Noi Bai Catering Services said that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam applied Directive 16/CT-TTg. Therefore, international flights of Vietnam Airlines Corporation have stopped from mid-March 2020 until now, so the goods stored in bonded warehouses have not been exported.

Enterprises requested to extend the storage time so that after the pandemic, they would re-export goods on international flights.

According to statistics of the Hanoi Customs Department, the goods that exceeded the time limit for deposit into the bonded warehouse are some types of wine.

In order to remove and support production and business activities following the Government’s policy during the Covid-19 pandemic, Hanoi Customs Department proposed the General Department of Vietnam Customs to allow Noi Bai Catering Services to extend the time limit for goods deposited in bonded warehouses until the competent state authority announces the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam is over.
