The regional business dialogue in 2023 is about to take place

VCN – To remove difficulties for enterprises in import-export activities, General Department of Vietnam Customs is coordinating with the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry (VCCI) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to organize a regional business dialogue in 2023.

To promote import-export activities; remove difficulties for enterprises in the process of carrying out import-export business activities; establish a partnership between the government and enterprises in the field of import and export; to strengthen the voice of businesses in the process of advocating for trade facilitation policies, the General Department of Vietnam Customs, VCCI and USAID will hold a regional business dialogue in 2023 in the southern and northern regions.

The conference in the South is expected to be held on February 24 at Saigon Prince Hotel (address 63 Nguyen Hue, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of about 150 delegates are representatives from the People’s Committee, departments, sectors, business associations, enterprises in the field of import-export and logistics in the Southeast provinces.

In the Northern region, it is expected to take place on the morning of March 2, 2023, at Nam Cuong Hai Duong Hotel (address: 1 Vo Nguyen Giap, Hai Duong City, Hai Duong province), with about 150 delegates representing from People’s Committees, departments, sectors, associations, enterprises in the field of import-export and cross-border trade in the provinces and cities of Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Hung Yen.

For the conference to be implemented effectively, the General Department of Vietnam Customs requested that local Customs Departments: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Customs Control and Supervision Department, Import and Export Tax Department, Customs Information Technology and Statistics Department, Post-Clearance Audit Department, Risk Management Department, Legal Department to prepare relevant contents at the dialogue.

The units actively prepared content to answer questions, problems and recommendations of enterprises in the field of customs provided by VCCI before the dialogue; monitored relevant contents at the dialogue and prepared content to answer problems within the management scope for General Department’s leaders to respond directly under the direction.

Customs departments of provinces and cities urgently review and definitively handle problems and recommendations of enterprises at local dialogue; proactively review and check the content of problems and arising problems, and propose solutions before, during and after the dialogue.
