Budget revenue declines but still ensures the estimated schedule
Speaking at the bridge point of the General Department of Taxation, Mr Mai Xuan Thanh, acting director of the General Department of Taxation, said that the state budget revenue in April 2023 reached VND 136,191 billion, equaling 9.9% of the estimate, equaling 82.3% over the same period. The budget collection progress in the first 4 months of the year still ensures the estimated schedule. As a result, accumulated revenue in four months (from the beginning of the year to the end of May 5, 2023) managed by tax authorities reached VND 578,035 billion, equaling 42.1% of the ordinance estimate, equaling 100.7% over the same period.
However, according to the leader of the General Department of Taxation, the progress of state budget collection over the months has decreased, although the situation of revenue collection over the months has not reached an alarming level. Therefore, the General Department of Customs continues to direct the units and Customs Departments of the province drastically. The city has stepped up measures to combat smuggling, commercial fraud and counterfeit goods on border routes, airports, border areas and inland areas.
