Kien Giang Customs prepares all conditions for pilot flight to receive international passengers to Phu Quoc

VCN- According to the Government officer’s Official Letter 8044/VPCP-KGVX dated November 2 on temporary guidance on receiving international tourists to Vietnam, Vietjet Air signed the implementation of a pilot flight to welcome the first international passengers to Phu Quoc on November 20, 2021.

Phu Quoc Customs Branch coordinates with competent forces to carry out customs procedures at Phu Quoc International Air Port.

According to Director of Kien Giang Customs Department Ngo Hoang Hai, the department has requested Phu Quoc Customs Branch to coordinate with other local competent agencies at Phu Quoc International Airport to perform quick customs clearance for international passengers. The local customs department has asked Phu Quoc to review human resources, vehicles and equipment for Covid-19 prevention and control; update operational processes to ensure the effective facilitation and prevention.

Flight VJ 3749 (Incheon – Phu Quoc) is expected land on at 12 o’clock on November 20, 2021 at Phu Quoc International Airport, with more than 200 passengers. Passengers will go through immigration procedures and medical declaration at the airport such as measuring temperature and installing IGOVN and PC-COVID applications. Tourists will be required to use the above applications during their participation in the tour program in Phu Quoc.

After completing immigration procedures, tourists will move by car from the airport to Vinpearl Resort & Spa Phu Quoc and visit entertainment sites such as: VinWonder Amusement Park – Vinpearl Safari, Vinpearl Golf, Casino Corona, and GrandWorld. Travel enterprises will support and instruct tourists in preparing entry documents, and receive passengers, and make plans to welcome and supervise the travelers during the tour in Phu Quoc.

The branch will review and arrange officers under the chain of customs supervision and management at the airport and prepare all conditions to prevent the disease, work with the port operator, Phu Quoc International Airport and airlines to receive passengers in a safe manner, Director of Phu Quoc Customs Branch (Kien Giang Customs Department) Bui Van Bang said.

Kien Giang province is working with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tourism businesses and related agencies to complete preparations for the pilot.
