VCN – HCM City Customs Department has increased the State revenue by about VND300 billion through price consultation and post-clearance audit.

According to HCM City Customs Department, in the first nine months of the year, the department conducted price consultation for 25,244 declarations, of which 15,360 declarations were approved at the declared price and 9,884 declarations were rejected at the declared price, contributing to raising the State budget by over VND231 billion.

In addition to facilitating the clearance process, the Department has focused on post-clearance audit. In the past nine months of the year, the Department carried out post-clearance audits and issued 655 decisions on tax assessment and collected about VND62.59 billion of tax arrears.

Meanwhile, customs branches located outside and inside border gates issued 199 decisions on tax assessment, increasing the revenue by over VND6.3 billion. The Post Clearance Audit Customs Branch issued 180 decisions on tax assessment with a total tax amount of over VND56.2 billion.

Between January and September, the department’s revenue saw a year-on-year increase of 19.6% to VND104,620.7 billion, meeting 89.8% of the estimate and 87.55% of the ambitious target.
