VCN – The import-export turnover which was carried out procedures at Hai Phong Customs increased by nearly US$14 billion over the same period last year.

According to Hai Phong Customs Department, from the beginning of the year to December 8, the whole Department handled procedures for 2,112,246 declarations. Accordingly, exports were 996,473 declarations and imports were 1,115,773 declarations.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of declarations carrying out at Hai Phong Customs increased by nearly 85,000.
Notably, the import and export turnover of customs procedures at Hai Phong Customs reached US$111.6 billion which was the highest result ever, a sharp increase of nearly US$14 billion compared to the same period last year and also exceeded the results in 2021 (last year reached more than US$105 billion).
Regarding revenue collection, updated to December 5, 2022, the whole Department has collected VND 73,310 billion, reaching 115% (equivalent to exceeding VND 9,680 billion) compared to the target assigned for the whole year. In particular, Hai Phong area obtained VND63,379 billion, reaching 113% (equivalent to exceeding VND7,449 billion) compared to the assigned target.
Hai Phong Customs Department forecast that for the whole of 2022, the unit would exceed the target assigned by the General Department of Vietnam Customs (VND 78,000 billion) and the People’s Council of Hai Phong City (VND 68,000 billion).
