Furthermore, the directorate will apply information technology to handle acts of trading in banned goods, contraband goods, counterfeit goods, as well as goods infringing intellectual property rights on social networks and e-commerce platforms.

Moreover, the directorate will enhance information and communication work, combine inspection and handling of violations with encouraging those engaged in commercial activities in the market to participate in the fight against smuggling and trade fraud and counterfeiting and to make a commitment on not trading in counterfeit, contraband or poor quality goods; inspect business establishments that have signed commitments and strictly handle violations.
