Thanh Hoa Customs executes five activities to develop Customs Business partnership

Specifically, the department implements activities such as strengthening forms of providing information to the business community and people about the management of import and export activities in the province, new documents related to the customs sector via the department’s portal and media agencies.

The local department expedites the business consultation on implementing digital transformation in customs control, including data digitization, data interlinking, digital database building, providing solutions assisting businesses in digital transformation, roles and responsibilities of businesses accompanying the customs in implementing digital transformation; performs customs control for imports and exports transacted via e-commerce; gathers proposals of businesses to improve legal policies; implements solutions to prevent goods congestion at border gates and checkpoints due to epidemics and natural disasters.

The department implements post-consultation solutions to build the trust of the business community, helping businesses understand and accompany customs.

In addition, the local department coordinates with bonded warehouse, yard and port operators in the management of centralized checkpoints for imports and exports, machinery, equipment of enterprises processing and producing for export; strengthen the fight against smuggling and trade fraud, and focus on inspecting high-risk items, prevention of origin fraud and counterfeiting, contributing to increasing budget revenue and tackling revenue loss, building a healthy business environment, and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and consumers.

The department promotes the supervision of law enforcement by coordinating with VCCI and business associations, organizes annual dialogue conferences to listen, remove difficulties and obstacles of enterprises in customs; strengthens supervision of settlement of petitions of people and businesses in an effective manner.

In addition, the department also promotes support and accompanies businesses during the pandemic; supports businesses in voluntarily complying with the law, accessing new policies, updating free customs declaration software; work with competent agencies in the area and make great efforts to facilitate enterprises in customs clearance and release in line with regulations.

These support activities aim to encourage and create favorable conditions for the business community and stakeholders to participate in customs reform and modernization, and improve the capacity of customs law enforcement.
