According to Binh Phuoc Customs Department, although experiencing a prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, causing difficulties for import and export activities, supply of materials and raw materials for production and business, these enterprises have put outstanding efforts into production management and consumption. Thereby, businesses have contributed a large tax to the state budget.

In addition, businesses also participate in formulating policies and laws on Customs; actively contribute to charity programs and other social activities.

Recognizing those efforts and contributions, Binh Phuoc Customs Department awarded certificates of merit to ten businesses, including Jason Furniture Vietnam Co., Ltd; Kim Tin Flooring Joint Stock Company; Hayat Kimya Vietnam Co., Ltd; Thuan An Paper Trading Service Joint Stock Company; Infac Vina Co., Ltd; NTC Da Nang Import-Export Co., Ltd; Thang Thang Loi One Member Co., Ltd; Thai Tran Import-Export Company Limited, 123 New Horizons Co., Ltd; Phat Loc Thinh One Member Limited Liability Company.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province Tran Van Mi assessed that over the past time, Binh Phuoc Customs Department had increasingly affirmed its position and role in attracting investment enterprises, ensured the provincial revenue targets; was well coordinated with departments, agencies and sectors to fulfil the function of advising on state management in the field of customs.

In particular, Vice President Tran Van Mi highly appreciated implementing the Customs-Business partnership of the Binh Phuoc Customs Department. Through regular activities, the unit has promoted consultations with associations and enterprises to enhance the efficiency of customs management and create maximum facilitation for import-export activities.

The leader of Binh Phuoc province also suggested that Binh Phuoc Customs Department should continue to promote the results achieved in the past to improve the Customs-Business partnership’s effectiveness further.

Director of Binh Phuoc Customs Department Nguyen Van Lich also affirmed that if businesses wanted to operate well, they needed to understand the provisions of the law. To do this, businesses needed guidance and answers from the Customs. Therefore, Binh Phuoc Customs Department determined that business dialogue must be carried out regularly and continuously.

According to Director Nguyen Van Lich, currently, the number of officials in the unit is still insufficient and not commensurate with the increasing workload and demands of the assigned tasks. Therefore, to ensure enterprises’ import and export activities take place smoothly, it is necessary to have self-discipline.

“Customs officers always update the new legal policies of the State regularly, but it is difficult for businesses to update in time. Therefore, enterprises need to have regular exchanges with the Customs authority. Typically, when there is a demand for importing new products, businesses need to discuss to understand the regulations on product policies and customs procedures for this item. At the same time, when arising problems, it is also necessary to quickly notify the Customs office for a timely resolution,” Director Nguyen Van Lich said.

Accordingly, the head of Binh Phuoc Customs Department hoped that in the future, an effective mechanism to solve problems would be built between the Customs authorities and enterprises to create an open investment environment, helping to attract investment effectively and promote the economic development of Binh Phuoc province.

At the conference, Binh Phuoc Customs Department gave many notes to businesses when importing and exporting goods at the Hoa Lu international border gate, as well as issues that enterprises need to pay attention to when making and declaring final settlements for the type of export processing and production. At the same time, Binh Phuoc Customs Department also disseminates legal regulations for bonded warehouse enterprises, export processing enterprises, customs procedures for on-spot export and import goods, and production facilities for export processed goods.
